For example, shooting a pistol would use a dice pool of Firearms + Agility (since Firearms has Agility as its linked attribute). Every skill in Shadowrun has an associated attribute which contributes to your dice pool when trying to perform that skill. You may also want to know what these attributes mean and what you need to take into account when choosing your metatype. If you want to be a smooth-talking face, you may not want to choose a troll. Notice that, depending on your metatype, there are different maximum values for the various attributes.
